Workshops at the new JT Makeup Studio

We opened our doors after two months of moving into Millside House at the end of February and kicked off with a special Masterclass with the legendary Mandy Gold who has worked as a Makeup Artist on a variety of feature films including Phantom of the Opera, Dagenham Girls, Star Wars, Mary Poppins Returns, Aladdin, Hugo, Inkheart, Mrs Henderson Presents, An Education and Alice in Wonderland.

Following this there have been several courses run by Carolyn Cousins due to popular demand, focusing on 1950's and 1940's Hair Styling for film. In March we held our first Afro Hair and Makeup Course with Kamanza which was an exciting 5 day course and this course was supported by a Screen Skills Bursary of 80% towards the course.

During the first weekend of April we held a special 1960's Hair & Makeup Course with both Mandy Gold and Carolyn Cousins. This course started with demonstrations in the morning followed by the attendees working on models in the afternoon.

The next few months are busy and we are hosting more hair and makeup courses plus a second course with Kamanza. We are also offering an Open Day on Sunday 7/7/19 to open our new Studio officially to showcase our facilities and courses we are planning for the future.
